The son of famed “Hour of Power” televangelist Robert H. Schuller Sr. said Tuesday he will launch his own show on AmericanLife TV after acquiring the network in a partnership with ComStar Media Fund LP.
The announcement by Robert A. Schuller Jr. brought an end to months of speculation about his next move after a highly public split with his charismatic father and founder of the popular weekly televangelist program. Read The Article Here The Network Here
Not sure you have to buy a network in order to have a Television show, but its worked for others.

Schuller Jr already wrecked American Life TV in just 1 month by dropping all its great programming. Obviously he’s not that bright because millions have stopped watching already, and it is doubtful with the dismal programming the channel now has that viewers will return anytime soon.
Robert I think your father made a big mistake by not keeping you on the air with him at all cost. My son and I are co-pastor and have been for 5 yrs. and have been working together for 10 yrs. His fresh and new ideas have really helped our ministry to grow and the tv”s Hour of Power would have too after it was well acquainted with you and your type ministry. You and your father were different but the difference wqas for the best in my opinion. Anyway God bless you as you begin a new ministry.
I agree with the last post. I am a church goer, however I would watch the Hour of Power. Many years ago I would watch and learn, however as time went on I became less interested in the teachings of Sr, as he became less focused on the Bible and more on his “Church”. When the son was preaching I though, this is much more like the service that Sr used to do. I am sure that Sr thinks he is doing the right thing, however he is not, in reality it is time for him to step aside and trust that he has taught Jr well. Who know what God has in store through all of this.
I think the real problem was that the elder Dr. Schuller just didn’t want to relinquish his role as senior pastor.
I don’t agree, I think the real problem was that the Sr. pastor didn’t want to lose the whole organization, and needed to still be in control, to keep JR. from spending all the money and traveling with high expenses. I have watched this show from the beginning when I was only about 12 years old, and the changes Jr. was trying to make were not always in the best interest of the Church.
On another note, I believe that Robert Schuller the 3rd, who is in College, always gave a better message than his father, and seems more honest and loyal to his Grandfather Robert Schuller Sr. I think he will make a great pastor someday, and would more closely resemble his grandfather’s beliefs.
Too Many Speculations can get you into trouble.
It appears to me it was the Elders of the church that forced Robert Jr.’s departure and not his Father. I could be wrong but an organization that size does not have decisions made by one man.
I doubt any of us really know what happened here. I think it is an admerible thing that neither the father or the son have come out saying negative things about each other.
All I know is that when Jr. preached and led the service, I saw and felt the Holy Spirit and the presence of God. I don’t watch the Hour.. now. I long for Robert, Jr.’s kind of ministry and will try to find it on our TV schedule. (I’m a P.K., as well as former pastor/evangelist’s wife.)

My husband & I (& 99 year old mother-in-law) COMPLETELY AGREE with “Lee.” We do not watch anymore either. Last year I tried to send a letter to Robert Jr. telling him to start a church in FL. We would drive an hour or more to see him if we had to.
I live in the state of CT and watch the Hour of Power every Sunday morning..I am very disappointed that Robert Jr isn’t preaching anymore, I enjoyed his preaching and his charima, I can relate to his preaching. I hopej I will be able to get his broadcast here. His message has touch my soul and my spirit..I think it is a good idea to bring old and new concept together because of the diverse congregation. I sincerly hope he will be back at some point.
I used to watch the “Hour” mostly because of the good music and occasional good guests but would change to another channel when “SR” began to speak so I could hear a “Bible preacher”. I was excited to hear “JR” for the first time and started to watch the whole program as he preached the “Gospel” and did not compromise nor water down his ministry. I am sorry to see “JR” gone as I believe God would have blessed that ministry far beyond any place it has been as He was exalted and the “Word” declared. Sadly the “Word” is taking a back seat again.

I was disappointed when I heard Robert Schuller JR left he was a breath of fresh air to me.The crystal cathedral isn”t the same without him.He preached the truth about Jesus and I admire him for it.Satan is a great deceiver the gospel is being watered down in the last days as Jesus said it would happen.
Robert Schuller Jr. is most definately a breath of fresh air..the message was the same his father gave, however, he put a new refreshing spin on it…
I was so diappointed with the departure of Robert Jr. He was a breath of fresh air to that program. His services were so refreshing and Spirit-filled. I don’t think the Sr. man could handle that.
The hour of power is not the same without Robert Jr. He preaches Jesus as the way of SALVATION. Jesus is “the way & the light”
I watched the Hour of Power in Iceland. I was delighted when Jr. started, very refreshing. Sr. is born same year as I, and just does not want to relinquish the limelight for his charismatic son.Sheila and the Grandson are just nil. I no longer watch.
